About the event
Cárdenas will participate with five other poets in the opening reading for ECOS: A Chicago Latine Poetry Festival at the Poetry Foundation. ECOS is a free poetry festival that celebrates Latine poets/artists and the place that Chicago holds in fostering that artistry. The festival was inspired in part by the 1991 Nezahualcóyotl Poetry Festival, coincides with the September release of the Library of America's Latino Poetry anthology, and is an echo of the amazing, current and historic, Latine poetry programming of the city!
